About Placid

Placid Braganza is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning hair stylist whose work continues to turn heads and grace the covers of leading fashion magazines.

Placid began his career at the famed Nalini & Yasmin, working his way up to Director of the Nalini & Yasmin Academy. He created Placid Salon in 2009, achieving recognition as a Wella creative stylist and later, a Sebastian Design Artist for India. Under his leadership, Placid Salon won the Wella TrendVision Colour Trophy (India), and represented India at a global level.

His Salon is a culmination of his ideas and vision to set high standards in the world of hairdressing. The Salon’s philosophy is to create contemporary as well as modern cuts and colours to suit varied personalities and lifestyles. Inspiration for hair fashion can come from anywhere and Placid often looks towards places, emotions, culture, architecture and nature for the next new trend. 

Today he works closely with the glamour industry, styling Bollywood icons for movies, events and magazine covers. But for all his love of high fashion, Placid is most enthusiastic about education - both, keeping himself up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques, as well as training and mentoring aspiring hair stylists.
